The Band Perry - “If I Die Young”

I just can’t get enough of this song lately.  I love the poignant video and the adorable lead singer, not to mention the fact that the three band members are all siblings.  I’ve fallen asleep to this for the last three nights.  I suppose when you think about it, falling for someone is a little bit like dying- it’s the ultimate act of letting go, of placing your fate entirely in someone else’s hands.  You go through the same anger, fear, and denial before you finally reach acceptance and contentment.  We all come to that same moment - where you finally open your hands, let go of the ledge, and close your eyes, not knowing what you’ll see when they open.

If I die young, bury me in satin
